On December 22, 2020, Control Union Certifications (CUC) officially issued the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certificate for MINH SANG PRODUCTION TRADE CO. LTD. Accordingly, Minh Sang is qualified to produce environmentally friendly, recyclable packaging products.
The Global Recycle Standard (GRS) was developed by Control Union Certifications in 2008. It is a complete, voluntary, and international product standard that sets out the requirements for third-party certification of recyclable ingredients, chain of custody, social and environmental performance, and chemical restriction.
Objectives of the GRS
GRS’s goals are to define requirements to ensure correct ingredient claims and good working conditions, as well as to minimize harmful chemical and environmental impacts. Specifically:
- Track inputs and outputs of recycled materials.
- Provide customers (both brands and consumers) with the right assessment criteria to make informed decisions.
- Reducing the harmful effects of production on humans and the environment.
- Make sure that the materials in the end product are actually recycled and processed more sustainably.
- Promote innovation in addressing quality problems in the use of recycled materials.
Achieving the GRS standard helps Minh Sang Packaging be officially recognized globally, easily shake hands with many other companies around the world and compete with rivals in international markets. At the same time, GRS proves the origin of raw materials, verifies the ingredients of Minh Sang packaging, the factors affecting the environment to help consumers feel secure to use.
